Straight answers about how National Family Care works.

National Family Care

Your questions, answered

Is National Family Care a life insurance company?

No. National Family Care is a family-care resource and provider directory — it does not sell life insurance or any insurance product. We help families understand their care options and connect with primary care, mental health, holistic and home-care providers in their area.

What kinds of providers are in the directory?

The directory includes primary care doctors, pediatricians, women's health providers, mental health therapists, somatic practitioners, holistic and integrative providers, physical therapists, chiropractors, dietitians, home care agencies and caregiving support specialists.

How do I find the right provider for my family?

Tell us what your family needs — from a new pediatrician to in-home senior care to a somatic therapist — and we'll point you to providers who specialize in that category in your area.

Is this a substitute for medical advice?

No. National Family Care is an educational directory, not a medical provider; only a licensed clinician who has evaluated you or a family member can give medical advice.

How do providers get listed?

Providers can create a free directory listing or reserve an exclusive referral territory — a ZIP code with select categories, a ZIP code across all categories, or a three-ZIP region across all categories — so family requests in that area and category go to them first.

What if someone in my family is in crisis?

If you or a family member is in crisis or thinking about self-harm, call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline) or call 911 — this site is not for emergencies.

Does National Family Care connect different types of providers?

Yes — the goal is to connect families to the different types of doctors and providers they need, from primary and pediatric care to mental health, somatic and holistic practitioners, all in one place.
